It is the Mission of the Muscogee County Humane Society (MCHS), an adoption-guaranteed shelter, to prevent abuse, neglect, and relieve suffering of all companion animals through compassionate care, placements (adoptions), public education and support services. Through our efforts, thousands of companion animals have been rescued from abuse, neglect, or euthanasia, and loving homes have been provided through our adoption services. Through donations, MCHS is able to provide low cost spay/neuter services for many other rescue groups, as well as privately-owned pets, in order to decrease the euthanasia rate in our community.
